Research

The Section of Vascular Surgery is involved in many research projects funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the American Heart Association and other organizations.

Current research projects include:

• Extensive research into the physiology of abdominal aortic aneurysms
• Endovascular program for the treatment of aneurysmal and occlusive vascular disease, including four separate trials of minimally invasive (endoluminal) treatment of vascular disease.
• Pathobiology of human aneurysms
• Renal function preservation
